Michael Phillips: Mr. East Tennessee 2009

We are pleased to introduce you to 2009’s Mr. East Tennessee: Michael Phillips

Michael is a Jackson, MS native who has been interning with Reformed University Fellowship a college ministry on the University of Tennessee at Knoxville campus.

The sponsorship proceeds of this year's competition will be donated to the charity of Michael's choice, Models for Christ. The ministry is located in New York and its mission is to present Christ and train leaders in the fashion industry.

Press Release: Michael Phillips Wins 2009 Mr. East Tennessee Competition

Press Release: March 2, 2009 --

The Mr. East Tennessee Modeling Competition is pleased to announce this years winner of the Mr. East Tennessee 2009 Competition, Michael Phillips.

Mr. Phillips, a Mississippi native, competed in a very competitive pool and was one of the few amateurs to ever reach this level in our competition. Even though he only models part time, modeling is his passion and he is eager to explore the opportunities that winning this illustrious competition will bring.

As Mr. East Tennessee Mr. Phillips is now eligible to compete in the Models of the South Competition to be held on November 19-21^st, 2009 at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort and Spa in Hilton Head, South Carolina. In addition, Michael will receive a $5,000 scholarship and has been invited to speak at several area events and schools in the state of Tennessee.
